I’m a writer, speaker, guide, and coach focused on the intersections of faith with life and of meaning with culture. I’m especially interested in how we can live purposefully and joyfully and lead ethically and effectively.
I have varied experiences as a leader and consultant in congregations and other organizations and as a university and divinity school professor. I have a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Candler School of Theology of Emory University, a program which included a clinical internship.
I also live with an incurable, but presently manageable, illness
which teaches me about limits and the illusion of control and causes me to seek honest responses to suffering and the questions it raises. If you’re interested in some of my reflections on my experience with cancer, you can find them at www.caringbridge.org/visit/guysayles
